Abstract Hotel and Residences, our distinguished client, turned to Henry & Gray, motivated by our proven partnership with Capstone Hotel Management, for whom we have crafted bespoke uniforms for a range of properties.

The Objective:

Being a new venture, Abstract aimed to introduce uniforms that would not only resonate with the brand's innovative spirit but also complement its unique location. They sought attire that would blend seamlessly with Auckland's vibrant surroundings.

Client Requirements:

Abstract required distinctive uniforms for all departments, including Front of House/Reception, Collage Eatery Staff and Chefs, and Housekeeping. The uniforms needed to reflect the hotel's unique setting while catering to the specific roles within the business.

Our Solution:

To align with the hotel's location and desired aesthetic, we opted for a relaxed yet fashionable look. The front of house staff were outfitted in blazers, printed t-shirts, dark jeans, and Chuck Taylor shoes, embodying a modern, urban style. The restaurant and bar staff received neutral-coloured t-shirts, black chinos, brown waist aprons, and Chuck Taylor shoes, while chefs wore short-sleeved white jackets with black trousers. Housekeeping staff were provided with navy branded t-shirts featuring a front print design and comfortable cargo trousers.

Overcoming Challenges:

The project faced challenges due to the hotel's construction phase, which led to several changes in the uniform design and timing. By maintaining close communication with the client, we ensured the final designs met their evolving needs and expectations and were delivered on time.
