Whenever I’m out and about I’m always taking a mental note of how businesses look in terms of their image. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve walked out of a business and thought - yep, it’s time that business had a new look.

The company owners know that their dedicated team of expert installers put in the hard yards to make kiwi businesses and homes warmer so they wanted to make sure they had a uniform they were glad to be putting on that was a cut above the rest.
Henry and Gray designed custom sublimation dyed Hi-Vis Polos and Singlets that met the safety standards and showed their commitment to quality and brand. Sublimation dye allows for a multi coloured garment without seams or added cost and your brand won’t peel or crack with harsh laundering.

Wanting to embrace these values in all aspects of their business, they engaged Henry & Gray to come up with a solution for their staff to wear in the field. We designed a uniform that would work for client meetings, site visits and the odd day on the golf course with functional softshell jackets, stylish business shirts, t-shirts and casual polos.

A new look for a hospitality brand needed to incorporate a bit of ‘quirkiness’
White + Wongs is a vibrant Asian fusion restaurant with locations in Auckland and Queenstown.
They came to us needing a staff uniform that showcased their brand, was comfortable, modern and a little quirky.
Being an eclectic restaurant, we gave them a uniform with options to mix and match including slogan printed tees, custom shirts with mandarin collars and a splash of contrast and embroidered aprons.
A recent experience in supporting local...
It was such a relief when we were able to finally go for a meal the other week after a long Covid lockdown. I am so committed to supporting local and we chose to go for a meal at our favourite local eatery (which is not yet a client by-the-way).
There is no doubt that hospitality has done it really hard over the extended lockdown, and so our local is absolutely excused for where I’m about to go with this...
But, their staff uniforms looked very tired and worn. The staff themselves weren’t, they were great and so pleased to be back at work!
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not judging after what they’ve been through. It’s up to us locals to support their business as much as possible to get them back on track so that they can afford to refresh their staff uniforms.
Lockdowns aside, staff uniforms and the way they look are such an important part of brand identity. They engender trust, likability and represent the exchange of value that we get when we do business with them.
