White + Wong's

White + Wong's wanted their work uniforms to really speak to their brand values and there is no greater assignment for Henry & Gray. Their remit was clear, they didn't just want to have brand logos on functional uniforms but instead, they were aiming for a uniqueness that their people were proud to wear and that spoke to the heart of who White + Wong’s really is and what it means to dine there, work there and just to be in the exceptional experience they offer.

henry and graySudima Hotels

Sudima Hotels wanted a modern and casual uniforms that will allow guests to see hotel representatives as approachable and down-to-earth, which makes them more likely to ask for help or make special requests.  In contrast, traditional uniforms can make the team seem stiff and formal, which can make guests feel less comfortable or even intimidated. As a result, hotels that want to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere should consider switching to more modern and casual uniforms for their employees.

Tira Group (previously known as NDA Group) is the largest group of specialty steel fabrication companies in New Zealand and Australia, employing over 260 people.

New uniforms were part of their brand project that started in late 2021. Tira means 'Steel' in Maori and the brief was to provide a smart-looking uniform that harmonised 'Tira' across multiple brands within the group. Additionally, each brand has different seasonal requirements for staff that needed to be accounted for.

henry and grayThe Brit

Formerly the Northern Steamship Company, this Britomart bar underwent a dramatic transformation. The interior was refitted with lots of natural light, rich wood, nautical themes and accents of navy, sage & brass. This palette was reflected in their uniform - A trendy, comfortable outfit that staff love to wear. For kitchen staff, working in a hot environment we avoid large blocks of screen prints to ensure their cotton t-shirts continue to breathe.

henry and grayMaster Kong

Master Kong bar & restaurant located in Wellington and Mt Maunganui prides itself on serving up some seriously kick-ass Asian street food. The theme, of course, is based on classic Kung Fu movies so we used our uniform ninja skills to design a vintage look, striped t-shirt and apron with bold Kong logo screen printed for impact. We’re also working on a custom bandana (Mr Miagi style) to complete the full look - Watch this space.

Abstract Hotel & Residences

Abstract required distinctive uniforms for all departments, including Front of House/Reception, Collage Eatery Staff and Chefs, and Housekeeping.

We chose a relaxed yet stylish attire to match the hotel's vibe and location. Front-of-house staff donned blazers, printed tees, dark jeans, and Chuck Taylor shoes for a modern urban look. Restaurant and bar staff sported neutral tees, black chinos, brown waist aprons, and Chuck Taylor shoes, while chefs wore short-sleeved white jackets paired with black trousers. Housekeeping staff were outfitted in navy branded tees with cargo trousers for comfort and functionality.
